BAD, BAD, BAD BLOGGER!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I have been the worst blogger! I don't know if it's just back to school scheduling, church activities, going to bed earlier or what...but I have not taken the time. Oh well...

Eric was cleaning some files off of our old Dell PC and I came across a TON of pics that I have not seen since 2005. Like this one of Luke's Easter 2005. He was almost 4 years old. I had TOTALLY forgotten about this cute little outfit. So cute! These kinda clothes were so much more fun to shop for than all the camo, hoodies and Crocs nowdays. Well, still doesn't stop me from having fun shopping for his whole fall/winter wardrobe. I hit the jackpot at Savers today! Savers is kinda like a giant Goodwill, only it's clean and organized. I was able to get him really cute windpants, fleece pullovers, long sleeve snap shirts, and jeans for like $2 apiece! I also had to get me some things too, since they were having 50% off everything in the store...

I have friends that would NOT even consider buying used clothes, but I have always had the best luck with finding Luke very cute clothes at consignment stores, garage sales, stores like Savers, etc. I'm all about the bargain shoppin'!

Bowling Night at Church

A few weeks ago, our church hosted a bowling night after church. We had the best time! Kylan, our youth pastor, brought bowling for shirts for he and Eric and they were really playing the part! I'm not quite sure what they are doing here!

Luke LOVES bowling! This was his first time to roll the bowl himself. He usually uses the silver stand in which you simply have to push the ball off. He "grannied" it mostly and had a great time! He was all about tracking down something to eat at the snack bar, too!

Me and my sweet friend, LaDonna! It's amazing that we are only 6 years apart, but I have a 2nd grader and she has two kids in college! I love you, Gilda!

Billy, Kylan, Chris, Eric and Mark

The Three Musketeers! Julie, Amy & Kristie!
It's amazing how three people can be so different and yet be good friends. We discovered that Julie and Kristie are on extreme opposites on lots of personality things and I'm kinda in the middle (of course-AVERAGE AMY...ha!).

I love my church and the friends the Lord has sent me!
Amy

Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!"

Future Profession?

I was talking to a friend tonight about our Disney trip in May and she asked how Luke enjoyed flying for the first time. As a typical 6-year-old boy, he loved it for the first 10 minutes. After he had checked every thing out, he started with his favorite activity: ASKING QUESTIONS! For example, "How long until we get to Atlanta?", "When we get to the airport, how long will we have to wait?" and "How long until that lady brings me a Sprite?". Ha!

We had the NICEST flight attendant. I think her name was Debbie (?). When she discovered this was Luke's first flight, she came back to our seats several times to answer questions and tell Luke all kinds of neat things. Eric asked if Delta still gave the little flight wings, but since 9/11 they had to stop that. You know...that little straight pin might stab someone...!

Our new friend arranged for Luke to sit up in the pilot's seat, put on his hat and we got to take pictures. I was already imagining the scrapbook layout for this...I think I saw some cool 12X12 paper at Hobby Lobby...Ha! The pilot spoke with Luke for a few minutes and gave him a little card with the picture of our airplane on it. They were super nice!

I was 16 years old when I flew for the first time. I like flying (even though I'm not a fan of heights), but I'm kinda like Luke...the whole waiting thing gets to me. I always take a book and magazines, but there is something about traveling that just wipes me out!

Do you like flying? How old were you when you flew for the first time?

Call on Jesus

Nicole C. Mullen is one of my favorite Christian artists! She has such a powerful voice and testimony. I love that this song reminds me that I'm not special on my own! Even though I'm ordinary, He can work extraordinary things through me! This song is a huge help to me when I get overwhelmed!

Jesus told the disciples in Matthew 19:26, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

What verses help you when you feel overwhelmed?
